General terms and conditions
1. Subject
These General Terms and Conditions of Sale (GTCS) govern the contractual relationship between SARL ‘École de Surf de la Réunion’ (hereinafter referred to as ‘the Surf School’) and any person (hereinafter referred to as ‘the Customer’) purchasing products or services on the https://www.ecole-paddle-surf-reunion.com website. They are applicable to all sales of products and services, whether for surf lessons and hire or online sales via the shop.
By validating an order or subscribing to a service, the Customer accepts these GCS without reservation.

3. Products and services offered
The Surf School offers for sale :
Surf lessons: Courses, individual or group lessons for all levels.
Surf equipment hire: Boards, wetsuits and surf accessories.
Online sales: Surfing equipment, accessories and clothing available via our online shop.
The essential characteristics of the products and services offered are described on the site. L'École de Surf reserves the right to modify its catalogue at any time.
4. Prices
The prices of products and services are indicated in euros, inclusive of all taxes. They may be modified at any time, but the price applied to the Customer will be that in force at the time the order is validated.
Delivery charges for online sales are specified before the order is validated.
5. Order
The Customer places an order on the www.ecoledesurfdelareunion.com website by following the order process. Any validated order implies acceptance of these GCS.
For lessons and equipment hire, the Customer can book via the online form, by telephone, or directly at the Surf School.
6. Payment
Payments are made online using secure methods (credit cards, Paypal, etc.) or directly on site for lessons and hire services. Full payment is required to validate the order or booking.
* For public institutions, payment is due within 30 days net from receipt of the invoice on the Chorus Pro platform. After this deadline, late payment interest of 10% per month will be applied, as well as a fixed penalty of €40, in accordance with article L.441-10 of the French Commercial Code and decree no. 2013-269.
*For private customers, payment is due within 30 days net from the date of issue of the invoice. In the event of late payment, penalties of 10% per month of delay will be applied, as well as a fixed penalty of €40, in accordance with article L.441-10 of the French Commercial Code.
7. Delivery of products
Products purchased online will be delivered to the address indicated by the Customer when placing the order. Delivery times vary depending on the destination and are indicated when the order is validated.
L'École de Surf cannot be held responsible for delays in delivery due to causes beyond its control (force majeure, postal services, etc.).
8. Withdrawal conditions
In accordance with current legislation (article L221-18 of the Consumer Code), the Customer has a 14-day cooling-off period from receipt of the products, without having to give any reason.
Returns must be made in their original packaging, in perfect condition, and accompanied by the order form. The cost of returning goods is borne by the Customer.
Services (surf lessons, equipment hire) are not subject to the right of withdrawal once the service has begun.
9. Cancellation of lessons and bookings
In the event of cancellation by the Customer, the terms and conditions are as follows:
Surf lessons: Cancellations can be made free of charge up to 48 hours before the start of the lesson. After this time, no refund will be made.
Equipment hire: Bookings may be cancelled up to 24 hours before the scheduled date, free of charge. After this time, cancellation charges may apply.
In the event of cancellation by the Surf School (unfavourable weather conditions, other reasons), a full refund or postponement of the lesson will be offered to the Customer.
10. Guarantee and conformity
The Surf School guarantees that the products sold conform to their description and are free of defects. In the event of non-conformity or defect, the Customer has 14 days to report the problem and request a replacement or refund.
11. Liability
The Surf School cannot be held responsible for damage resulting from misuse of the products sold or from accidents occurring during lessons or equipment hire, except in the case of proven gross negligence on the part of the instructor or the School.
12. Protection of personal data
The information collected when ordering or registering for services is processed in compliance with the legislation on the protection of personal data. It is used exclusively by the Surf School to manage orders and will never be passed on to third parties without the Customer's consent.
13.Intellectual property rights
All elements of the site (texts, images, logos, etc.) are the exclusive property of the École de Surf de la Réunion. Any reproduction or use is forbidden without prior authorisation.
14. Applicable law and competent jurisdiction
These GCS are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, the parties will attempt to resolve it amicably. Failing this, the competent court will be the one with jurisdiction over the head office of the École de Surf de la Réunion.
